Iraq
Iraqi participation in the Architecture Biennale focuses on vernacular architecture and ancient Mesopotamian boats. They reimagined the "Arca" as a fractal tensile structure based on traditional techniques and designs. The project aims to promote collaboration and dialogue, particularly in Iraq, which is undergoing significant changes and global emigration. The Expeditionary Pavilion explores the connections between the Venetian and Southern Iraqi environments and investigates the impact of the Anthropocene on the region.
